Uniform Brigadier G1 description ...

Durable or Safe - with the new Uniform Brigadier you get both....

You asked us for a printer that offered the print durability and performance of systems using aggressive solvent inks, along with the safer ink chemistry usually associated with Eco-Solvent print systems.

The Uniform Brigadier is the answer to this request. Our unique CitroSOL ink chemistry offers print durability and wear resistance that rivals some commercial grand format systems, yet is laboratory certified as being 100% cyclohexanone and isophorone free, putting it squarely in the same range of safety as Eco-Solvent inks.

A further advantage of our CitroSOL inks is that they are also completely free of the noxious odour normally associated with solvent printers, in fact if they smell of anything, it's Lemons!

As reliable as a water-based printer

During extensive product testing and development we have optimised our inks for outstanding unattended operation. Unlike some solvent print systems, which often need daily preventative maintenance, particularly if the machine has been offline or inactive for any amount of time, our Brigadier printer with our unique ink chemistry, is virtually maintenance free, and as easy to own and operate as a traditional water-based inkjet.

The Brigadier prints more, for less...

The Brigadier is aimed squarely at businesses that up to this point have been successfully working with large-format aqueous printers such as the Encad Novajet, producing print for indoor displays.

Because the Brigadier prints to uncoated paper, film and media you can dramatically reduce your current production costs when compared with water-based inkjets that rely on coated substrates.

Fully outdoor durable print

CitroSOL inks are unique in having no solvent odour, instead they give off an aroma of Lemons. Don't be fooled into thinking this makes CitroSOL a compromised solution, this ground-breaking ink chemistry retains the outdoor durability and wear-resistance that Uniform solutions are famous for.

Because of this greatly improved wear resistance and outdoor durability when compared to eco-solvent inks, Brigadier users can also make the move into full, highly profitable and uncompromising outdoor print solutions that don't involve the need for the laminating and finishing that is a necessity on water-based printers.

Direct-to-Layout Workflow

Job-Based Workflow

Main Screen Access to
Master Queues Manager

Media Saving Layouts with
Automatic Rotation

You don't need to be an expert to print like one. With Troop SoftRIP 6.0 even beginners can jump straight in with our simple to use interface.

HIGH DEFINITION PRINTING WITH 16-BIT RENDERING

With SoftRIP's PSS halftoning and 16-bit rendering, you get the highest quality color possible with an inkjet device. If you thought your output quality was good enough before you are in for a big surprise!

Demanding color users like digital photographers have been buzzing about the benefits of 16-bit workflows for some time. Wasatch SoftRIP will be the first PostScript-compatible product to bring this premium color and precision quality to the inkjet printing process.

Why 16-bits is better

PSS and 16-bit color give you the one-two punch you need for premium output. Color subtleties and gradients in raster images are maintained with enormous detail. Vector gradients are perfectly smooth at any output size. With SoftRIP, tonal banding becomes a thing of the past.

How it Works

Other inkjet RIPs are based on 8-bit rendering. This means that color data and quality are lost in the printing process. SoftRIP's 16-bit color pipeline maintains your color data to produce output that is truly faithful to the original source image. The difference is particularly dynamic when printing with lower quality consumables.

SoftRIP will process files that are inherently 16-bits deep through color management and PSS halftoning with high fidelity color depth. Files that arrive to the RIP only 8-bits deep will also show substantial benefit. They are promoted to 16-bits of color depth prior to color management and are maintained at this high definition through halftoning.

Positive News for Profilers

Imaging Configurations (color profiles) made with earlier versions of Wasatch SoftRIP can be used with SoftRIP 6.1. And, in many cases, older profiles will provide improved image quality just by being used with the 16-bit color pipeline.

Digital Tool Kit

Troop's new Digital Tool Kit brings together the key settings you need to quickly ready images for efficient printing. Size, crop, check color gamut, tile and more without ever leaving the home screen. With navigation that easy, who needs a map?

A New Way to Work

Troop SoftRIP 6.0 creates new workflow paths to speed your production. Use a standard workflow, or combine them to create a hybrid workflow optimized just for you.

The Direct-to-Layout Workflow uses the full width of your media as a digital canvas. Drop images into the layout window and prepare them to print as a part of your overall print run. With Direct-to-Layout you can even use images already ripped as part of another layout without re-ripping.

Troop SoftRIP's Job-Based Workflow is now easier than ever. When you drag and drop a file from the file browser into your Job Window, all of the tools you need to process that image are right at your fingertips in the new Digital Tool Kit. Once your image is ready to print, one mouse click processes it through to your printer or saves it to layout with other images.

Server-Based Workflows use the RIP exclusively as a control center to manage jobs submitted from remote workstations through production. In 6.0, Troop SoftRIP's production command center moves to the main screen for easier access. With real-time job status and the ability to see RIP and Print queues for all units simultaneously, the Server-Based Workflow has never been easier.

Smart Nesting Made Smarter

Troop SoftRIP's Smart Nesting tools create efficient layouts automatically, whether you prepare your images directly in the layout window or hold single jobs to arrange later. Smart Nesting uses advanced mathematics to create layout designs that save media costs and guillotine trimming time. In version 6.0, Smart Nesting saves even more media by rotating un-RIP'd files any time that rotation will make the overall layout more efficient.

Queue Up Efficiency

Version 6.0 moves the Master Queues Manager to the SoftRIP main screen. To save you RIP time again and again, SoftRIP creates Queue entries for every image in your layout as well as the layout itself. Once your image is RIP'd you can drop it into any layout to reprint without re-RIPing. Any layout scenario you can imagine is easier with Troop SoftRIP 6.0.

Uniform CitroSOL Ink...

Our unique Uniform CitroSOL ink is an organic solvent ink with greatly reduced solvent odour.

Don't be fooled into thinking this makes CitroSOL a compromised solution, this ground-breaking ink chemistry retains the outdoor durability and wear-resistance that Uniform solutions are famous for.

Operating in the same safety range as eco-solvent inks, CitroSOL offers vastly improved durability and media compatibility. Because of this operator friendly chemistry, a Uniform printer equipped with CitroSOL ink is equally suited for use in work environments ranging from small home office through to the commercial graphics factory.

CitroSOL organic solvent ink is also easier on your printer and it’s printheads, so the proven reliability of a Uniform printer is further compounded, giving you a virtually bullet-proof solvent printing system that is every bit as easy to own and operate as traditional large format printers using aqueous water-based inks.

Third-party Compatibility

CitroSOL inks are compatible for use in any large format printer that has been designed or adapted to use active solvent inks. For a full list of compatible printers or for enquiries about bulk purchasing to service your own customer base, please contact email us.
